Our internationally owned offshore gas client was experiencing substantial growth in the Australian LNG gas supply market. They approached Wurkspace7 with the brief to design a flexible space within their newly acquired tenancy at 108 St Georges Terrace to accommodate growing staff numbers.
The design concept responded to the client’s desire for all staff to enjoy maximum access to natural light. A largely open plan workstation layout broken up by collaboration zones encouraged staff interaction, with core areas reserved for meeting rooms, a small number of executive offices and quiet spaces to facilitate focus work. A large, modern and interactive breakout space was centrally located and brought a casual café feel to the heart of the tenancy. This space also incorporated some quieter booth seating which is used as an informal meeting zone for internal and client meetings.
The design embodied the client’s desire for a fun, relaxed, environment which reflected their contemporary workstyle. The use of natural timbers, polished concrete and green walls highlighted by splashes of colour, feature light fittings and informal seating styles compliments the magnificent views from the high-level office tenancy.
